Prime Minister Harris to be guest on WINNFM’s Voices Programme on Tuesday

By: OPM, Press Release

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, March 13, 2017 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris continues to make himself available to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, this time through a scheduled appearance on WINN FM 98.9’s Voices programme this week.

Prime Minister Harris will join host Newrish Nital on the popular radio programme on Tuesday, 14th March, 2017, from 11am to 1pm.

Dr. Harris will address a wide range of issues of national interest including housing; successes of the local economy; developments in national security and beefed up operations by the nation’s security forces.

All are invited to tune in to listen and be a part of the Prime Minister’s conversation with Mr. Nital, who will open the phone lines during the programme to give listeners an opportunity to ask questions and air their views and concerns directly to the country’s leader.

The prime minister has made several appearances on the “Voices” programme in recent months with the last appearance coming on 14th February, 2017, when the Team Unity Government hosted a week of activities to celebrate its two-year anniversary.

Joined then by Minister of Aviation and Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Mark Brantley and Minister of Post, Public Infrastructure et al., the Honourable Ian Patches Liburd, Dr. Harris said people are clearly taking note of the good performance of the Team Unity Administration.

He stated, “I believe that if you were to do an informal survey, you would get a sense that there is an upbeat mood in the country, and however you look at it one thing is clear – the majority of people feel that something good is happening in the country. Whether it has come from the fact that we have just come out of one of the best carnivals ever or it is the reality that so often they see mega ships and yachts docking in Basseterre and occasionally in Charlestown; the atmosphere is a good one. The government is performing and the people are well aware of it.”
