BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A man from Taylors Village has been charged with the murder of his fellow villager.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has advised – via a press release – that Clive ‘Shanty’ Edwards was charged with the March 10 murder which took place at Taylor’s Village.
On the evening of the incident, Commander of District ‘A’ Superintendent Cromwell Henry told SKNVibes that the incident took place at a shop in the area shortly before 8:00 p.m.
He also informed that the victim, 54-year-old Ashton Christopher, was stabbed once to the right side of his chest.
Christopher's death brought to three the number of homicides to have occurred within the Federation for 2017.
SKNVibes understands that Edwards was picked up by the authorities shortly after the incident occurred.
Whether or not the accused man has appeared before the court for a bail hearing is unknown to this media house.
