Shooting involving Deputy PM’s house and vehicle still unsolved

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – MORE than two weeks after the house and vehicle of Deputy Prime Minister the Hon. Shawn K. Richards were shot at, the police are yet to make a breakthrough in the case.

     

    The incident occurred during the early-morning hours of March 10 while Richards and family members were at the Sandy Point home.

     

    The incident did not result in injury and officers of the K-9 Unit, Special Services Unit and of District ‘B’ launched an investigation into the incident.

     

    District Commander Superintendent Lionel Moore told SKNVibes that to date, there has been no breakthrough in the case and that it is still under investigation.

     

    The Superintendent had previously referred to the incident as a “troubling” one and he has reiterated his call for individuals with relevant information to pass it on to the police.

     

    “We would like persons to come forward with any information that could assist us with the investigation. Because remember this crime was against a senior person in our society… So I am calling on persons who have the information to come forward and assist us so we can solve these crimes.”

     

    Information can be passed on to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force by contacting the nearest police station, by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or by using the SKN Crime Reporter app.
