BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BUSINESS owners and managers in St. Kitts and Nevis were given firsthand information on how to effectively promote their establishments across all media platforms.
At a one-day workshop held by Yello at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort yesterday (Jul. 26), over 50 businesses were represented with 90 people registering for the event.
According to Yello’s St. Kitts Marketing Executive, Sabrina Greenidge, the event was the company’s Digital Marketing Seminar geared towards assisting the entities to better put themselves out to the market and attract customers.
Formerly known as the Yellow Pages St. Kitts, the company had formally re-launched its operations earlier this year and is now seeking to assist businesses to launch out.
“We wanted to reintroduce our brand to the market and let people know what we are offering to them. Our purpose at Yello is to give businesses the reach to get to customer.”
She noted that they want to get people to grow their business and expand their reach as business owners.
Greenidge pointed out that her company is more than providing advertisements in the yellow pages, as during the workshop participants learnt about the importance of market penetration in St. Kitts and Nevis.
She said: “They would have learnt that advertising is not the same old Stone Age that they may know. They found out how to reach their customers and where their customers are looking based on your target market. And they would have learnt how to build a proper website and make it mobile friendly.”
Any business establishment that partners with Yello would have the opportunity to gain traction, as the company has a number of consultants who can assist in any area that entrepreneurs see fit.
She disclosed that they have seen a number of businesses utilizing various marketing strategies, but noted that more could be done.
