SKNHTA hoteliers happy to report minimal damage after hurricane Irma

By: SKNHTA, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts – 7th September 2017 -  The St.Kitts and Nevis Hotel and Tourism Association is happy to report that their hotel members have reported minimal damage to their respective properties after the passing of category 5 hurricane Irma that ravage our federation during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

We are very pleased to find out from our member hoteliers that infrastructure damage was minimal to none with clean-up already in progress. Hotel staff were on hand to ensure that those guests that remained on island during the hurricane were well cared for and received our usual high standard of hospitality service.

The SKNHTA are very grateful that both St. Kitts and Nevis were spared during one of the strongest hurricanes on record and would like to state that as a nation we remain open for business including welcoming visitors to our beautiful twin island paradise with all relevant hotels reporting working at full operation.
