Officials from the Ministry of Education are special guests on Working for You on Wednesday, February 07

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 06, 2018 (SKNIS)—Officials from the Ministry of Education in St. Kitts and Nevis are the special guests on the weekly radio and television programme “Working for You” on Wednesday, February 07, 2018.

     

    Tune in to hear the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, William Vincent Hodge, expound on the recently launched Education Sector Plan under the theme “Education  for all: embracing change, securing the future”, which is the strategy plan for the next five years. Mr. Hodge will specifically speak to the key policy issue of “Enhancing governance, planning, and management to improve efficiency and effectiveness throughout the sector.” He will also give an update on what is currently happening in the Education Sector.

    Additionally, Mr. Leonard Stapleton, Educator, Accountant and Historian, will speak about his book “Places of Memory: The Experiences and Contributions of the Enslaved Africans in St. Kitts and Nevis”. The book is now a part of the Social Studies syllabus of Grades 3-6 in all primary schools in the federation. The book uniquely outlines the rich history of St. Kitts and Nevis with historical landmarks in both islands.   

    Hosted by Lesroy Williams, “Working for You” offers news, views, reviews, interviews and all the happenings of the Team Unity Administration, which has pledged transparency, accountability, good governance and a fair share for all citizens of the Federation.
     
    The programme features government officials, heads of government departments, permanent secretaries and other government officials who will provide you with timely, relevant and accurate information as it relates to the social, economic, human, political and sustainable development of St. Kitts and Nevis
     
    “Working for You” is carried live every Wednesday on ZIZ, WinnFM and Sugar City Rock from 1:30-3:00 pm and rebroadcast on Freedom FM and Von Radio on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00am and 10:30-12:00pm respectively.
