Police Find Missing ATM on Nevis

By: Jermine Abel, SKNVibes.com
CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, Feb. 23.2018 – MORE than a year later, law enforcement officers on Nevis have reported that they have solved the case of the missing ATM.

According to reports out of Nevis, the machine went missing from the Vance Amory International in broad daylight and no one knew of its whereabouts.

However, word broke yesterday that sleuths found the machine in the Fountain Westbury area.

Police did not give many details on how they located the missing machine.

But Premier Mark Brantley, at a press conference yesterday, said he too has seen reports that the machine was found.

He congratulated the officers for the find and the efforts that they put in to locate the machine.

“I want to commend the police for the work that they have been doing lately. I want to also commend our public…who ensure that our police don’t have much to do in terms of actual investigations of crime. Let us prevent the crime from happening…”

Security has been beefed up at the airport, and according to Brantley, CCTV and officers have increased since the incident.

“I am happy that the police were able to recover this machine and it is my hope that they can follow whatever lead they might have and apprehend the people who would have been responsible.”

They are in the process of implementing CCTV across the entire island.

The discovery of the machine leaves many unanswered questions, and the force indicated to reporters that a statement will be issued.
