Police Press Release: Report of arrests, convictions and other activities February 22-23, 2018

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 24, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period February 22- 23, 2018.

     

    ARRESTS AND BAIL:
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Anthony Severino of Malone Avenue was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Failing to Stop when an Accident Occurred, Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence, Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without Due Care and Attention. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Thursday March 01, 2018.
     
    Bailed: Ezekiel France of Monkey Hill, St.Peters, who was charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 02, 2018.
     
    Bailed: Yeury Mitrell-Lora of McKnight, who was arrested for Obstruction, was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at Basseterre Magistrate Court on March 01, 2018.
     
    COURT CONVICTIONS:
     
    In Matters at the “A” Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honour Hector, the following person was convicted and fined:
     
    - Glenroy Morris of Old Road was convicted and fined $1,000 to be paid in thirty-six (36) days or, in default, serve thirty (30) days in prison for the offence of Careless Driving at Keys Village.
     
    OTHER ACTIVITIES:
     
    Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Brunder Avenue and New Road.
     
    Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties. Most recently they were done in the areas of Stadium View (Sandy Point), Victoria Road, Irish Town, Mattingly Heights, Cayon, Ottley’s Village, Phillips Village, Fiennes and Thibou Avenue.
