BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Apr. 5.2018 – THE Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force says that investigations into the death of 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton are ongoing as the circumstances surrounding how he died are still undetermined.
A short statement issued on Sunday (Apr. 1) stated: “That matter is still under investigation. It is the method of death that is undetermined. So far three persons were taken into custody, questioned and released. The circumstances surrounding his death is still an active investigation.”
Pemberton’s lifeless body was discovered by a passerby in an open lot in Gillard Meadows in the vicinity of the Control Tower of the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport on January 27, 2018.
Following an autopsy by forensic pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov, it was reported that the young man died of natural causes. However, in a subsequent press release, the police stated that since undertaking further laboratory tests in Trinidad, Dr. Alexandrov has revised the cause of death and “is of the view that there are other inconsistencies surrounding the manner (mode) of death that merit further investigation”.
