BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Apr. 20.2018 – TODAY a Gingerland man is still counting his lucky stars after he got away with minor injuries in an attempted robbery at Stanley’s Gas Station in Church Ground, Nevis.
On Wednesday (Apr. 18), at around 7:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the gas station.
Police’s investigations revealed that a masked gunman attempted to rob the gas station. One of the attendants, 50-year-old Stephen Moore of Rices, Gingerland ran for safety, but was shot in the arm by the assailant.
The gunman reportedly then fled the scene.
Moore was transported in a private vehicle to the Alexandra Hospital where he was treated for his injury.
According to the police force, he is listed as being in stable condition.
“Crime Scene Officers processed the scene and took items of evidential value into police custody. The surrounding areas were searched and house to house enquiries were conducted.”
Investigations are continuing and people with information are being urged to call the Charlestown Police Station at 469-5391.
