One dead, two hospitalized following Taylor’s Village Shooting

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Jun. 1. 2018 – POLICE are continuing with their investigations today into a shooting incident in Taylor’s Village that left one teen dead and two (2) others injured.
     
    According to the Police Force’s Public Relations Department, officers received and responded to the report of a shooting at about 7:55 p.m. on May 30, 2018.
     
    “Investigations so far have revealed that a 17-year-old male juvenile was inside his residence along with two (2) other persons. Outside the premises were Antonia Lestrade (male, 19 years old) and a 15-year-old male juvenile. Four (4) masked assailants entered the premises and one (1) of them began shooting. The 17-year-old juvenile exited the house and received gunshot injuries about the body, which left him fatally wounded. The 15-year-old juvenile also sustained gunshot injuries about the body and Lestrade received a gunshot to his left elbow,” police said in a statement.
     
    Police also said that both Lestrade and the 15-year-old juvenile were transported to the J.N.F. Hospital by the Emergency Medical Service. Lestrade is said to be warded in a stable condition, while the juvenile underwent Emergency Surgery and is warded,  at the Intensive Care Unit in a serious, but stable condition.
     
    Technicians from the Forensic Services Department processed the scene and items of evidential value were collected.
