Masud Sadiki to release ‘Wonder How’ music video shortly

By: Suelika N. Creque, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IT has been a decade since Masud Sadiki released ‘Wonder How’ and now he is bringing it back to the people with a music video that is soon to be released. The song will also be featured on his upcoming album - ‘Keep it Down to Earth’.

‘Wonder How’ speaks about evil doers in a ‘chant-like’ musical form and features Falasha of Montserrat. It has become one of the most popular songs in the Federation.

The artiste told SKNVibes he is feeling good about the video that he hopes would be released in the upcoming weeks, but he did not disclose the exact date.

“As soon as it’s done we want to share it with the people. ‘Wonder How’ is now a classic; it has been from 2000 to now, and that’s 10 years. So I’m feeling pretty good about that. It’s a serious song and we’d always wondered how some of us sleep at nights…we’ll always wonder, and I think it’s timeless,” he said.

He said that ‘Love for Mama’, which was featured on his first album ‘Blast Off’ along with ‘Wonder How’, is another classic tune and was a tribute to his mother and other single mothers. This, he added, would also be featured on the upcoming album.

“The whole world is going to hear this album and the whole world is going to be able to buy a copy, whether they want one song or three songs or the whole album. And we had two songs that were the favorites (from the past), ‘Love for mama’ and ‘Wonder How’,” he said.

“We didn’t touch ‘Wonder How’. We left it as is and then we took ‘Love for Mama’ and took the band in the studio and they played it live. So we are going to get a live representation of the song. When they hear ‘Love for mama’ they will hear the remix version.”
‘Blast off’ was released in 2001.

Sadiki said that the ‘Wonder How’ music video would be one of many to come that they are working on, and the video is being produced by Cheddi Bradshaw of Island Soul.

Bradshaw also produced the music video for Rolensha’s ‘Defend It’. Sadiki’s newest single, ‘Courage to Change’, will also have a music video made for it.

And along with those three songs mentioned, ‘Come a me yard’ and ‘Brighten up your day’ are also featured on the album.
Sadiki said he would be giving away 1000 CD’s to those who attend his album launch.

“I want to thank the people for their support and not just to Masud, but to all homegrown acts, because I think collectively we’re doing well and we’re thankful for the support. Because of the support we’re getting from the people, is why we’re doing what we’re doing,” he said.
