    Basseterre, St. Kitts – April 14, 2010 - The Board of Directors for the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority has appointed a new General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the largest statutory corporation in St. Kitts and Nevis. Mr. Terrence Crossman took up the position on Monday, April 12, 2010, bringing with him vast experience in strategic planning, business process-reengineering and corporate re-structuring, and a track record of success.

     

    Mr. Crossman was most recently employed at LIME (formerly Cable and Wireless) where his last position was Head of Retail Sales & Service and previously, Vice President of Corporate Sales. During his career at LIME Mr. Crossman received recognition for several initiatives including C & W Global Award for Innovation and Value Creation, Initiative of the Year Award, and Customer Service Excellence Award. Prior to joining Cable & Wireless, Mr. Crossman worked as a Manager of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Consulting practice in Atlanta, GA, USA where he received extensive experience in process re-engineering and corporate restructuring.

     

    As the new General Manager, Mr. Crossman will focus keenly on PEOPLE, both internally and externally, which he says is one of the four pillars of his 4 P strategy. The other pillars of his strategy will centre on Process, Productivity and ultimately Profitability with a view to building a winning culture and a distinct and an enviable corporate SCASPA brand.

     

    Mr. Crossman holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance, a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting (summa cum laude) and an Associate of Arts in Management, and is currently pursuing a second Masters degree in Global Consumer Marketing. Given his professional training, managerial experience and focus on people, process, productivity, and profitability, Mr. Crossman is qualified to lead the Authority as it continues to rebrand and reposition itself to become a viable, customer-focussed organisation.

     

    In welcoming Mr. Crossman to SCASPA, Chairman Mr. Linkon Maynard expressed the full confidence of the Board of Directors in the new CEO and joins with the Ministry of Tourism & International Transport, the Board of Directors, Management and Staff in congratulating and welcoming Mr. Crossman to the Corporation.

     

    SCASPA (www.scaspa.com) is a statutory enterprise which operates the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, the Port Zante Port for handling cruise ships, and the country’s Deep Sea Port for handling incoming and outgoing cargo vessels. The company’s work force is 425 and during 2008, SCASPA reported audited revenues in excess of EC$39 million.
