BASSETERRE St.Kitts, April 1st 2011 - "More teams have registered to participate in the SKABA 2011 season than has over the last 3-4 years. This is definately a step in the right direction, " says SKABA President Romel Tobias.
At a meeting held on Thursday evening at the SKNFA Office some 34 teams registered for this years 2011 SKABA season. The meeting marked the registration deadline for all teams desirous of playing in the 2011 season.
The “A” division had an increased number of registered teams with 15 compared to last season which featured 11 teams in the division. The Female Division had 4 registered teams while all 8 of the Premier Division teams met the registration deadline.
Among the newly registered teams for the upcoming season is PJ’s out of Craddock Road Nevis. PJ’s has now become the 2nd Nevis based team participating in the SKABA league along with last year’s finalists the Cotton Ground Rebels.

President Romel Tobias announced that the official start of the 2011 season will be April 17th at Basketball City.
