Stop de Violence!!!
How do you feel about the recent upsurge in violence on Nevis?
"I am extremely upset about the brutal crimes in Nevis recently. Too many guns are sneaking their way into our shores and as a result young lives are being lost. This is surely affecting not only the immediate families but also everyone else who lives in Nevis. I think much more needs to be done to reduce the number of illegal guns in Nevis. To families of those who have lost their lives, I extend my deepest sympathies."

"I really don't think that there is a need for violence in St. Kitts, Nevis. First of all we are a small country and that
means that everyone will be affected by the crimes of one person. Second of all we are a tourist destination, and visitors will not want to grace the shores of a country with such a high incidence of crime."

We are going to deplete ourselves of all the young people and all of our human resources. Coming from South Central in Los Angeles, I see the trend of it and I think the young people watch too much television. The television has too much of a negative influence and that is where the focus should be to eliminate the violence. If we do not do this we will not have anyone to continue on with this lovely country."
