Kim Collins wins silver in 100m at Pan Am Games in Mexico

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Son of the soil, Kim Collins has added one more medal to the growing number of medals he has gained this year.

     

    News just in that he has placed second in the 100m at the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico this evening (October 25). We will bring further details as they come to hand.

     

    Yesterday this ageless, evergreen 35 year old athlete made history when he broke the 28year old record for the 100m by clocking in at 10 seconds flat at the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara.

     

    Today he has won St. Kitts Nevis its first ever Pan American Games medal.

     

    In this year alone, Collins, 35, has become the two time bronze medalist at the World Championships and the three time silver medallist in International Championships in Europe.

     

    THREE CHEERS FOR KIM COLLINS!!! - athlete and role-model par excellence.

     

    The Federation of St. Kitts Nevis is euphoric with delight as once again Kim Collins has made this country extremely proud! Sincere Congratulations! Kim!

     

     UPDATE:

     

     

     

    In the 100m Finals at the Pan Am Games, the Jamaican Lerone Clarke won the 100m title in 10.01 seconds.

     

    Kim Collins of St. Kitts Nevis was second with 10.04 seconds and Emmanuel Callender of Trinidad and Tobago won bronze in 10.16 seconds
