ALLEGED MISSING: 20-year-old Gregory Anthony Zakers
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A tourist was disconcerted when while visiting one of St. Kitts’ tourist attractions discovered the bullet riddled body of what is believed to be a young male.

Sometime this morning SKNVibes heard that a body was discovered over in the Black Rocks area in Belle Vue. Investigations substantiated the rumour but information about the identity, gender and circumstances surrounding the incident that led to the individual’s death are still unclear and unconfirmed.

When contacted by this media house, Head of the Police Force’s Press and Public Relations Office Inspector Cromwell Henry explained that he did not have much information on the incident, but he indicated that the police were made aware of the find by a taxi driver who was informed by the tourist who saw the body “on the cliff side” of Black Rocks.

Meanwhile, yesterday, a rumour began circulating that 20-year-old Gregory Anthony Zakers, who resides in or near the Basseterre area, had not been seen by his family since the day before.

SKNVibes understands that the police were made aware of Zakers’ absence and also that he left his home bound for St. Pauls where he was to have visited a female friend.

Reports indicate that Zakers, up to press time, was still not seen by his family members.  ~~Adz:Right~~

At press time, the identity of the body and the circumstances surrounding the incident were not revealed and or confirmed.

Almost two months ago, a seven man/five woman jury unanimously found Zakers not guilty of the death of 16-year-old Josh Smithen who was stabbed to death on September 8, 2006 in St. Pauls at the opening ceremony of Festival De Capisterre. Regarding his co-accused Jamal Bradshaw and Fitzroy Challenger however, the jury was undecided and the case is scheduled to be heard during the next criminal assizes.

Police have indicated that they are making investigations into the incident.
