BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - MICHEL LIDDIE of Sandy Point will have a long time to think about the reprehensible act he performed on a child after being given five years imprisonment yesterday (Mar. 8) by His Lordship Justice Errol Thomas.
Liddie appeared at the Basseterre High Court for sentencing after he was found guilty of indecent assault by a 12-member jury.
According to the evidence presented in court, the 24-year -old was caught gyrating on the rear end of a female child by the mother of the said child.
The evidence given stated that the child was inside of a bedroom on a computer Liddie went into that same bedroom, locked the door, pulled down the child's trousers and proceeded to gyrate on her buttocks.
The evidence given also stated that the child's mother was searching for her and when she got into the bedroom, Liddie ran out.
Before being sentenced, the convicted man begged the court for mercy but His Lordship said that given the tender age of the child, he would not be lenient.
