BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE traffic accident that occurred early yesterday morning (Apr. 6) did not result in any fatality and no serious injuries were reported.
According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David, both drivers and one passenger were taken to the JNF General Hospital following the accident and they were treated and discharged.
The accident occurred at 4:25 a.m. between motor cars P7512 and P7267 on the Frigate Bay Road in the vicinity of Bullseye Auto Rental.
Inspector David stated that P7512 was overtaking another vehicle when it collided with P7267.
SKNVibes learnt that Mazda P7512 driven by Kirnok was travelling towards Basseterre when it collided with Ford Probe P7267 driven by Donath Manjra which was heading in the opposite direction.
This media house also learnt that both vehicles were badly damaged and Manjra had to be removed from his vehicle by members of the Basseterre Fire and Rescue Services.
David informed that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
He took the opportunity to encourage drivers to take precaution on the road, adhere to the traffic laws and ensure that they observe the road’s condition and drive accordingly.
