BASSETERRE St. Kitts, Wednesday 1st April, 2015 -- During a post-election community meeting on Tuesday 31st March, 2015, at the St. Johnston Community Center, Sam Condor expressed his gratitude to the people of West Basseterre for their unwavering support during the 2015 SKN election campaign.
“I am here tonight to thank you the people of Constituency #3 for your support over my tenure as your parliamentary representative. With much humility, I also say thank you for those of you who have continued to support me beyond my years as a candidate of the St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party,” said a very appreciative Sam Condor.
“The sacrifice was not too great for my people and I will continue to assist you the residents of West Basseterre in whatever way I can,” he continued.
Those in attendance were also able to ask questions and enquire about the Government's plans for the communities in Constituency #3. Persons were keen to hear about the progress of various projects within the area, land and housing initiatives that will benefit the people of West Basseterre, as well as the election results for Constituency #3 that saw a mammoth increase in registered voters in that area since the two previous elections. Though not the parliamentary representative for the area, Condor, a man with genuine love for his people, vowed to do what he could to ensure that West Basseterre receives its FAIR SHARE under the Team UNITY Government.
Samal Duggins, campaign manager for Sam Condor was also on hand to chair the proceedings and gave a few heartwarming words, expressing gratitude to “Uncle Sam for making him a better person because of the guidance received and life lessons learned over the past two years.” Mr. Derrick Green, a political consultant, who was very instrumental in ensuring victory for Team UNITY was present at the gathering and described Sam Condor as “a transformational leader who played a very significant role in securing the overwhelming victory for Team UNITY.” By an overwhelming applause and shouts of praise, it was certain that the persons in attendance shared the same sentiments of these two men.
In wrapping up the night’s proceedings, Condor once again registered his thanks to all in attendance and made his recommendations on the way forward for his supporters, all being well-received by everyone. At the end of the night, it was evident that the love for Uncle Sam is eternal beyond party lines and he is still well-respected by all.
