BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ACCOLADES continue to be distributed at Kajola Kristada Ltd. for excellent on-the-job performance, and the most recent was given to Lower Monkey Hill’s Annetta Davis who has been named the March 2015 Employee of the Month.
The 39-year old mother of twin boys has been employed at Kajola for the past six years and this is the second time she has won the Employee of the Month title.
From the eyes of her supervisor
Valarie Adams supervises both the Super Trap Line and the Surface Mount (SMT) Line and she said it has been a privilege for her to work with Davis on both Lines.
“When she started first, she started on the Super Trap Line which I am supervisor of as well. Because of lack of work we sent her over to SMT and, to be honest, the good job she did at Super Trap, it is the same good job she is doing at SMT. She is always here, never late, always outstanding in her performance, really good quality-oriented person. She is very good in everything that she does.”
Adams praised Davis for “a job well done” and congratulated her on her recent award.
She was just doing her job, then the surprise
Davis recalls that she was on the job performing her duties when she observed several individuals marching through the plant declaring that the Employee of the Month has been selected.
“I heard the lot of noise but I wasn’t paying attention to them, I was doing my work. This is a normal thing they do every month, so I didn’t pay any attention to it. They went around and around the factory and then they stopped by me and I was wondering why they were standing next to me. But then they said congratulations and told me I had won Employee of the Month for March.”
The soft spoken employee seemed to have no intention of informing us of her total reaction to the news, but SKNVibes was reliably informed that so happy was she that she shed tears of joy.
Davis expressed the hope that her recent accomplishment would inspire her twin boys – 16 – to excel in their education and in whatever they plan to achieve in the future.
