Police Press Release: Report of arrest, convictions and other activities

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 28, 2016 (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrest and or Convictions from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.  For period 27th April.

     

    ARREST AND OR BAIL:
    Arrested:  Lezmore Wattley of Upper College Street was arrested, formally charged and cautioned with a warrant, in the first instance for the offence of  Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm.  The incident occurred on April 07, 2016.

    Arrested: Rakeem Eddy of Gillard Meadows was arrested, formally charged and cautioned with a warrant in the first instance for offence of receiving.

    The incident occurred on April 20, 2016.
     
    COURT CONVICTION:
    Refer to Press Release 28042016. 

    OTHER ACTIVITY:
    Building Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigating a breaking and larceny that occurred at a construction site in Sea View Garden. The resident reported that he left the construction site secured. Upon his return on 27th April 2016 he discovered the building broken into. He reported a number of working tools and some materials missing.  Further inquiries to be conducted.

    Building Breaking and Larceny:  Police is investigating a breaking and larceny that occurred at Twinkle Fashions on Victoria Road. Investigations reveal that upon return to the business on 27 April about  9:20am it was discovered the store broken. The owner listed all missing items and their value. Investigations are ongoing.

    Building Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigating and incident of breaking and larceny that occurred in several town houses built by the NHC in Pine Gardens, Shadwell  area.  Investigations have revealed, that during a pre-handing over inspection on 26 April, it was discovered that two  5000 watt transformers were  missing from  a building.  Investigations are ongoing. 

    Community Involvement:  Members of the Police Service participated in a Career Fair at the Verchild's High School.  Officers presented information about available career pathways within the Police Service and interacted with the students and staff.

    Police continued its Citizen Safety efforts by conducting a number of vehicular check point,  stop and searches and searches of abandoned house and lots.  This activity in an ongoing effort to remove illegal firearms, drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
