July 1st, 2016 -- On Saturday September 3, 2016, the Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS) will attract members of the West Indian Diaspora to a magnificent celebratory event. The gala will offer a unique blend of entertainment and lots of good food, great company and plenty dancing.
The impressive Maestro Banquet Hall, 1703 Bronxdale Ave, Bronx, NY will reverberate with energy and enjoyment from 8pm to 2am on September 3, as scores of nationals from the twin island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis resident at home and abroad are expected to attend this GALA affair.
This year, instead of our usual annual Labor Day Banquet, we will be having a Grand Celebration Scholarship Gala. Here we are raising funds for our scholarships. We will feature one of our scholarship sponsors. She has come from humble beginnings and is now a Veterinarian, Dr. Hanah Guishard.
This is a unique event and we remind patrons to come early to get their money’s worth. Doors open promptly at 8:00 PM with an open bar and hors d’oeuvre. Music accompaniment will be provided by DJ Lincoln, Richie Buntin and others. The comedian “Gillie” will be making an appearance.
Now is your chance to get more than 3 hours of dancing as we expect the floor to open for dancing from about 10:30 pm.
Come out and show your continued support for the Staff and students who attend the Charles E. Mills Secondary School. Come and win a door prizes, enjoy great company, start the Labor Day weekend right and let go your waist line. DJ Lincoln will provide the sweet SK music and other genre of music from the Caribbean and beyond. Buntin will soothe you with his melodious vocals, while you dance the night away.
