LIME launches BlackBerry Z10 with giveaways

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TELECOMMUNICATIONS firm, LIME, on Friday morning (Apr. 26) held a corporate launch of the Blackberry Z10 mobile handset at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

     

    The event saw over 50 members from the business community on St. Kitts and all attendees partook in a very delectable breakfast.

     

    Following the formal ceremony, a prize giving segment was held in which 10 of the attendees won prizes which included the top gifts of two BB Z10 handsets. These prizes were distributed after torn tickets stumps that were given to attendees were placed in a bag and raffled.

     

    Omar Christopher of Kajola Kristada Ltd. and Small Business Manager of First Caribbean International Bank Ladimer Gumbs were winners of the top prizes – BB Z10.

     

    While giving brief remarks, LIME’s General Manger David Lake expressed that the ceremony was “an exciting event for LIME and you our loyal and distinguished customers”.

     

    He went on to say: “You remember last year October 2012, many of you were present at the official launch of our 4G network and this morning you are here to be introduced to you the BlackBerry elite Smartphone…the BlackBerry Z10.”

     

    Lake said the BlackBerry Z10 phone has been redesigned, reengineered, reinvented and operates from the BlackBerry 10 platform to give users a powerful and unique mobile computing experience.

     

    “Indeed the BlackBerry Z10 experience would be more delightful and rewarding on our LIME 4G network, the first 4G network of the Federation,” David stated.

     

    He said LIME is constantly seeking ways to delight and provide an unmatched experience to keep customers up to date with the latest technology and “today we are happy to deliver this promise to you”.

     

    LIME’s Corporate Sale and Support Specialist and resident BlackBerry Support Expert, Yasmine Davis talked about the features and specifics of the “newest addition to the BlackBerry family” as she ‘sold’ the phone to the audience.

     

    She explained that the BB Z10 has a 4.2-inch screen, eight megabyte pixel back camera and two mega pixel front camera and that it operates on a 1.5 gigahertz processor with a two-gig memory, 16 gigs of storage and allows up to 64 gigs extra via the micro SD card.

     

    Davis said it operates on the new BlackBerry 10 Operating System and has Bluetooth and NFC capabilities.

     

    “This is the ultimate BlackBerry 4-G device,” she added.

     

    Some of the the other prizes were two BlackBerry T-shirts and they were won by Chairman of ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation Clement O’Garro and Gilli Skerritt.

     

    Managing Director of Carib Brewery (St. Kitts & Nevis) Ltd. Mark Wilkin, Dundrea Phillip of Petro Caribe, Deputy Controller of the Customs Department Geroid Belle each one walked away with a voucher for one month three gig data should they purchase the BB Z10.

     

    Vouchers of 30 percent discount on BB Z10 were awarded to Rigel Warner of Henley and Partners (who is a former accounts manager of LIME) and Manager of Jaro Electronics Doris Archibald, while a 50 percent voucher discount was presented to American Airlines General Manager Hugh Mallalieu.
