BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, June 25th 2013 - The countdown is on for White Sands, the Official St. Kitts Music Festival Cool Down event at Carambola Beach Club. This all-white party begins at 2pm on Sunday June 30th.
On hand to set the tone will be dj Kevy Kev out of Florida, then Jazzique and the Greenhouse Band are expected to raise the jam to an even higher level with favorites from their wide repertoire of hits. Fans can check out Kevy Kev's White Sands mix at www.facebook/carambolabeachclub.
Expectations are high for the National Bank White Swimsuit Competition, the highlight of the day. Former National Carnival Queen, Johan Kelly will host, as seven sizzling contestants: Kersha Martin, Ashley Maloney, Anita Sullivan, Natalia Williams, Danelia Huggins, Dellecia Webbe and Felicia Silcott will strut their stuff in three judged appearances.
The girls have been buzzing on Facebook for the People's Choice Award which will be presented on Wednesday night during Carambola's Caribbean Bonfire Buffet. Fans should take advantage of this opportunity to meet the contestants in person and score photo opportunities. To vote for your favorite entrant, simply visit the Carambola Facebook page, but do hurry as voting ceases on Wednesday 26th at 6pm.
Other White Sands attractions will include a foam party pit, water sports races , giveaways and lots to eat and drink at low local prices. Entry is absolutely free for everyone wearing all white. Persons not in white, pay EC$5.00. Reserved seating options for the terrace and interior of the restaurant for EC$25.00 is a new addition to this year's event and includes a welcome cocktail. Patrons are urged to call 465-1627 to make reservations now as space is limited.
This all-white affair in the picturesque setting of Carambola Beach Club will be a fitting conclusion to the 17th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival.
